How
to enter the Hottest Day of the Year contest.
- First, register for the contest by selecting the REGISTRATION tab
above. You can also use Facebook for express registration. Second, select the SUBMISSION tab above and enter your picks for
the hottest temperature of the year, the record temperature date, and the
number of days the temperature will be 100 degrees Fahrenheit or
greater. All entries are judged according to the weather observed
at Will Rogers World Airport.
When can I enter the contest?
You can enter the contest from May 1, 2011 through
May 31, 2011. All entries must be received before May 31st at
11:59PM. The contest will be evaluated between June 1, 2011
through August 31, 2011.
How is the contest winner chosen?
A winner will be chosen based on
submitting the actual record temperature and the actual record
temperature date. If two or more contest participants submit the
actual record temperature and the actual record temperature date, the
person closest to submitting the actual number of days 100 degrees
Fahrenheit or higher will be declared the contest winner. If no
contest participants pick the actual record temperature date, a winner
will be chosen randomly from all of the contest participants that
submit the actual record temperature. If no contest participants
submit the actual record temperature, the contest winner will be chosen
randomly from all registered contestants.
Is there a prize?
Yes, the contest winner will receive
$400 from Interstate Heating and Air.
Thanks for participating in the contest and Good Luck!
